About Us
Our History, Mission & Principles. And the Staff to Uphold Them
Why RESOLVE?
Because it speaks to what it takes to do the work we do. It takes RESOLVE to leave an abusive partner and successfully rebuild your life and it takes RESOLVE to challenge deeply rooted cultural beliefs that allow intimate partner violence to continue in alarming numbers throughout our community and the world.

Our History
RESOLVE of Greater Rochester, Inc. began as two organizations, Safe Journey and Stand Up Guys. Both were looking for ways to make a major difference in the fight to end domestic violence. Safe Journey focused on intervention and prevention education, Stand Up Guys focused on prevention by engaging men in the solution.
Together we knew we could make a greater impact and open eyes and change lives.
Our Mission
To develop and deliver innovative, community-centered programs and services that empower people and communities to break the cycle of domestic violence.
