Pride Month 2020

RESOLVE Therapists to LGBTQ+ Survivors

At the end of Pride Month, we’d like to reaffirm that our services are here for you. Our therapists are knowledgeable and experienced in working with LGBTQ+ survivors. Together, we can break the cycle of intimate partner violence (IPV), which impacts 1 out of every 2 LGBTQ+ individuals. When prompted, “Is there anything you’d like to say to / want LGBTQ+ survivors to hear?” this is what our RESOLVE therapists said:

Your queerness & gender identity are valuable parts of yourself that deserve care and celebration. Your experiences and trauma are valid. We see you and we're here to support you on your journey to healing.

Sarah J, MSW

No matter what your identity or orientation, there is a person out there who will see you and love you for exactly who you are... You will feel valued and respected, and that’s worth waiting for.

Amy L, ATR-BC-LCAT

Don't let shame or fear stop you from seeking services [for intimate partner violence]. Your pain is just as important as anybody else's.

Carly I, LICSW

Our Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We will continue to update this post as new information and/or adjustments to our counseling procedures become available.

Updated Friday,  July 31st – 1:00 pm

RESOLVE has been providing services virtually since the onset of the Coronavirus. Since late June we are back to offering in-person sessions following New York State mandated guidelines.

Our therapy sessions are being held in our conference room to ensure privacy, social distancing and healthy ventilation. Strict sanitation routines are being followed between appointments. Prior to in-office visits, clients are required to complete a COVID-19 questionnaire.

For those that are not ready to come into the office, we continue our teletherapy by video conferencing via Zoom or Doxy, or by telephone.

Rest assured, we are fully staffed and ready to help in whatever means is most comfortable for you…in the office, telephone, or teletherapy. Together we are here to help empower you to break the cycle of domestic and intimate partner violence.

Please don’t hesitate to call us at 585-425-1580 or email us at info@resolve-roc.org to inquire about accessing our services in the way that works best for you.
