RESOLVE receives Director’s Award from GRAWA

Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys (GRAWA) announced this year’s Directors’ Award winner is RESOLVE of Greater Rochester, Inc.  The GRAWA Directors’ Award originated in 1986 and has been awarded to exceptional community leaders such as: The Honorable Louise Slaughter, Susan B. Anthony House, Ibero American Action League, and the National Council of Jewish Women.

The Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys (GRAWA) bestows its Directors’ Award upon a person or organization whose activities enhance the lives of women. This year, GRAWA would like to recognize RESOLVE for the important work it does providing innovative therapeutic services to those affected by intimate partner violence. GRAWA is impressed with the success rate of RESOLVE’s Survivor Transition Program and the fact that cost is not a barrier to obtaining therapy. GRAWA also appreciates RESOLVE’s role as collaborator and community educator to mental and behavioral health professionals.

Carey Ann Denefrio, GRAWA President (2019-2020)

Our Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We will continue to update this post as new information and/or adjustments to our counseling procedures become available.

Updated Friday,  July 31st – 1:00 pm

RESOLVE has been providing services virtually since the onset of the Coronavirus. Since late June we are back to offering in-person sessions following New York State mandated guidelines.

Our therapy sessions are being held in our conference room to ensure privacy, social distancing and healthy ventilation. Strict sanitation routines are being followed between appointments. Prior to in-office visits, clients are required to complete a COVID-19 questionnaire.

For those that are not ready to come into the office, we continue our teletherapy by video conferencing via Zoom or Doxy, or by telephone.

Rest assured, we are fully staffed and ready to help in whatever means is most comfortable for you…in the office, telephone, or teletherapy. Together we are here to help empower you to break the cycle of domestic and intimate partner violence.

Please don’t hesitate to call us at 585-425-1580 or email us at to inquire about accessing our services in the way that works best for you.
